Dr. Scott Engebretson

Old Testament foundations for New Testament Spiritual Gifts

Bio: Scott Engebretson serves as Lead Pastor of Northwest Vineyard in Westminster, CO. He has a Master of Divinity degree from Wesley Biblical Seminary, a Master of Theology degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a PhD in Biblical Studies/Old Testament from Asbury Theological Seminary.

Scott is married to Hannah. They met at and both graduated from Wesley Biblical Seminary. They have three children – Ella, Dylan, and Lincoln.

Dr. Putty Putman

Everyday Holy Spirit Ministry

Bio: Putty Putman is the founding and lead pastor of FUSE, which is a new church and ministry ecosystem he planted in Phoenix, Arizona. He is also a Christian speaker, teacher, author, and ministry trainer best known for founding the School of Kingdom Ministry (SoKM), teaching on identity in Christ, healing, hearing God’s voice, spiritual gifts, and Kingdom theology. Putty has his Ph.D. in applied science from the University of Illinois and has authored two books “The Supernatural Ways of Royalty” and “Live Like Jesus”.

Alone with God: Contemplative Practices for a Spiritual Life

Church leaders spend their lives caring for others and, sometimes, don’t prioritize caring for their own souls. All too often pastors experience burnout, ministry wounds that just won’t go away, and, seemingly, one spiritual attack after another. This class is designed to help shift those dynamics by focusing on three aspects of the personal prayer life: intimacy and peace with God over the long haul; deep, lasting healing of ministry wounds; and an active, authoritative prayer life that protects one’s personal and ministry life from spiritual attack. Class time will include instruction, practice, and group discussion. 

Bio: Sarah O’Connor serves as an elder and prayer coordinator at Arvada Vineyard. She holds an MA in New Testament from Denver Seminary and has been active in lay leadership throughout her life, first in her home state of California and now in Colorado. Sarah loves to pray – especially for her church and her pastors! – and loves encouraging others in their private life with God. She and her husband Jim have four adult children and eight grandchildren.

Dr. Brock Bingaman

Praying the Nicene Faith: From Creed to Prayer

Brock Bingaman serves as lead pastor of All Saints Community Church in Oklahoma City, a Vineyard church that values the evangelical, charismatic, and sacramental traditions. Drawing from over thirty years of experience as a pastor, college professor, and entrepreneur, Brock loves equipping the saints to serve on mission with Jesus. He’s passionate about helping churches draw from ancient Christian resources, mentoring young leaders, and mobilizing churches to faithfully practice the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to the Scriptures. He and his wife Amanda have been married for nearly thirty years, and they have two young adult children who grew up learning how amazing the 1980s were.

This class is for those looking to root themselves, their leaders, and the churches they serve in the deep, ancient roots of the Christian faith. Our focus will be on the Trinitarian faith of the Nicene Creed, along with how the Jesus Prayer empowers us to pray the Nicene faith. Through interactive lecture and lively discussion, we will consider the historical context and ongoing importance of the Nicene Creed, the transformative power of the Trinitarian Nicene faith, and ways that praying the Jesus Prayer unites and fuels doctrine, worship, spiritual life, and mission in the power of the Spirit.

These intensive 3-day courses provide a unique opportunity to engage deeply with biblical theology, Vineyard distinctives, ministry practice, and spiritual formation alongside other ministry leaders.
How much time is required outside of class?
Participants will complete 10–12 hours of pre-conference preparation that may include books, articles, podcasts, and other learning resources. This pre-work creates a common foundation, allowing class time to focus on meaningful discussion, practical application, theological reflection, and ministry formation.
